Description Kia Sportage

Kia Sportage - the fourth generation (QL) has been produced since 2015. In 2017, Kia sold 131,000 Sportages, accounting for a quarter of the brand's sales in Europe. This model also feels great in Ukraine - since its debut in early 2016, the fourth generation Sportage has become the most popular model on the market for two years in a row. In May 2018, a facelift version of the model was revealed.

At first glance, it may seem that the updated Kia Sportage is no different from the pre-reform. However, it is not. The crossover received new front and rear bumpers, as well as modified optics, and for top-end versions, instead of bi-xenon, full LED headlights were provided. In addition, the five-door has acquired new rims in the dimensions of 16, 17 and 19 inches. Available options include chrome-plated door sills and metal-look front and rear underguards. Five new shades have been added to the body color palette. As before, the GT-Line package with new Ice Qube LED foglights looks the most aggressive. 

Kia Sportage GT Line received a grille painted in glossy black. Also, the front and rear bumper protections received a black gloss and “metal look” finish. On the door sills (including the tailgate) there are inserts with dark chrome trim.

The 19-inch light-alloy wheels, available exclusively for the GT Line version, have a new design. The GT Line version can also be distinguished by two tailpipes integrated into the lower part of the rear bumper and original 19-inch wheels.

Interior changes include a new steering wheel design and an updated instrument panel, as well as a new black and gray trim option. The GT Line version is now also available with black and gray leather seat trims, and as an option, black genuine leather trim with red accents is also available. The multimedia system is available with a 7-inch touchscreen or a new 8-inch "edgeless" display.

The popular Korean crossover also has long-awaited options: adaptive cruise control with the ability to stop and resume movement, the Around View Monitor (AVM) system to facilitate parking maneuvers, and a driver fatigue control system.

An important change has taken place in the engine range of the European Kia Sportage. So, the 1.7-liter CRDi turbodiesel was replaced by a new 1.6-liter "U3" CRDi engine in two boost options: 115 and 136 hp. For more powerful versions of the crossover, an all-wheel drive system and a 7-speed preselective transmission with two clutches are provided.

Kia Sportage is produced at the Kia Motors Corporation plant in Zilina (Slovakia). The updated crossover entered the Ukrainian market in August 2018.
