KIA Soul (PS) - the second generation of the model, whose European debut took place autumn 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It is a front-wheel drive five-door hatchback. Differs in original appearance and practical clearance over 15 centimeters. In the new generation of KIA Soul has increased in size. In particular, the width of the hatchback has grown by 15 mm, and the wheelbase by 20 mm. Thanks to the latter, it has become more spacious both in the passenger compartment and in the luggage compartment, which has grown to 354 liters against 340 for its predecessor.

The appearance of "Soul" has also changed. The silhouette and fundamental lines remained unchanged. The new look is formed by details - round feet in the rear bumper, dark edging of the lamps, unpainted wheel arches, a different shape of the lower section of the radiator grille.

The changes also affected the interior of the second KIA Soul. Despite the fact that the interior of the hatchback still professes rounded shapes and lines, the interior has become more serious. In addition, the quality of finishing materials has also improved markedly. In particular, we are talking about an increase in the interior design of pleasant-to-touch plastic.

The list of options has also increased, in which leather ventilated seats for the front riders, rear sofa heating, keyless entry and engine start, and a panoramic roof have appeared.

But the range of engines for the European market, where the model will debut in 2014, has remained the same:

• petrol engine 1.6 GDI (124 hp);
• diesel unit 1.6 CRDI (128 hp).

As before, buyers will be able to choose between a six-speed "mechanics" or "automatic". KIA Soul is produced in South Korea.
