KIA Quoris - built on the BH-L platform, which is also used by Hyundai Equus. The front suspension is mounted on double wishbones, and a multi-link is used at the rear. It is noteworthy that for a surcharge, you can also order an air suspension, which allows you to increase the standard 145 mm ground clearance by 30 mm at speeds up to 70 km / h, or vice versa, reduce it by 15 mm. At speeds above 120 km/h, the air suspension automatically lowers the body.
KIA Qouris is supplied to the Ukrainian market with a 3.8-liter gasoline engine. The V-shaped "six" is equipped with systems for changing the valve timing and the length of the intake manifold. The maximum engine power is 294 hp, and the peak torque is 365 Nm. Only an eight-speed automatic transmission is available as a gearbox, which allows the two-ton five-meter sedan with rear-wheel drive to gain “hundred” in just 7.3 seconds.
The drag coefficient was adjusted to 0.27. Excellent sound insulation is provided by five-layer glass with a thickness of 4.7-5 mm, sound-absorbing mats in the bottom and ceiling, as well as special foam, which fills most of the cavities in the body.
Only expensive materials are used in the interior of the car. Depending on the trim option in the Quoris cabin, in addition to soft plastics, natural wood, suede, and special Nappa leather are used.
Fits in the premium segment with a long list of equipment that includes full LED adaptive headlights, nine airbags, surround vision, blind spot monitoring and collision avoidance, a 17-speaker Lexicon audio system from Harman Cardon, power steering for tilt and reach, front seats with heating, ventilation, electric drives and 16 adjustments, fully digital “tidy”, as in latest S-Class, electrically adjustable seat height and backrest tilt.
Premiere of KIA Quoris in Ukraine took place at the end of May 2013 at the SIA auto show. At home in South Korea, the sedan is called the K9. Produced in the city of Hwaseong.
