Kia Niro - a restyled version of the model was introduced in February 2019.
As part of the update, the Kia Niro SUV received new LED headlights, a different design of the front bumper, unusual running lights in the form of “boomerangs”, as well as a different grille and taillights. In addition, in the interior of the car, its creators thoroughly redrawn the front panel and used better and softer plastic. The design of the central part of the front panel and the climate system deflectors has changed, and instead of the parking brake pedal, the five-door is now equipped with an electric drive button.
The basic Niro configurations are available with a dashboard that combines color displays and an arrow speedometer scale. And richer versions received a virtual tidy with a 7-inch display. The media system in the "base" with a diagonal of 8 inches, while the top version uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Finally, the adaptive cruise control has been supplemented with a stop & go function for traffic jams, and the list of options includes a lane keeping system that operates at speeds up to 180 km / h.
The hybrid installation on the restyled version remained the same as on pre-reform models. It consists of a 1.6 GDI gasoline aspirated Kappa family (105 hp at 5700 rpm and 147 Nm at 4000 rpm) and an electric motor (43.5 hp, 170 Nm). The electric motor is powered by a small 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, which is charged while the vehicle is in motion. Front-wheel drive, a 6-speed dual-clutch “robot” is used as a transmission.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h according to the “passport” is 11.5 seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 162 km / h. Fuel consumption in the city - 3.4-3.9 l / 100 km, on the highway - 4.0-4.6 l / 100 km, combined - 3.7-4.3 l / 100 km.
