KIA Mohave - the largest passenger car in the model range of the brand. The car was presented in 2008 at the Detroit Auto Show. Initially, the model was intended exclusively for the US market, where it is also known as the KIA Borrego, but then the company decided to start deliveries to the former CIS countries.

To emphasize the off-road capabilities of the model, it received its name in honor of the Mojave Desert, which is located in the southwestern United States. The transmission of the all-wheel drive KIA Mohave has a lowering row, the body is attached to the frame, the ground clearance is 217 mm, but the model does not have mechanical locks, they are only simulated by electronics.

In the top configuration, KIA Mohave is ready to boast a leather interior, dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, the image of which is displayed on the interior rear-view mirror, driver's seat ventilation and even rear air suspension.

At the same time, already in the “base” offered on the Ukrainian market, the car is equipped with a full range of passive and active safety systems - 6 airbags, rollover warning systems, ABS anti-lock brakes, ESP directional stability, emergency braking assistance and driving up / downhill.

As a power plant, you can choose a 3.8-liter V6 gasoline engine or a 3-liter six-cylinder diesel engine. The power of the gasoline engine is 274 hp, and the peak torque is 362 Nm at 4,400 rpm. It is aggregated by a five-speed automatic.

Diesel loses a little in power, but much more torque. The three-liter engine produces 250 hp. and 539 Nm, available from 2,000 rpm. At the same time, since 2012, all diesel modifications have been aggregated with an 8-speed automatic transmission, due to which, in terms of acceleration dynamics, diesel KIA Mohave are practically not inferior to gasoline ones. From 0 to 100 km / h, the three-liter Mohave accelerates in 9.6 seconds, while the model with a 3.8-liter gasoline engine accelerates to “hundreds” in 8.5 seconds.

The main production of KIA Mohave is located in South Korea. In addition, the SKD assembly of the model has been established in Zaporozhye.
