Description Kia Sorento (2009)

Kia Sorento - the second generation of the model, presented on the Ukrainian market since 2009. In 2012, KIA introduced a restyled version Sorento, the main external differences of which are vertical fog lights, less unpainted plastic in the bottom line of body parts, slightly modified taillights and a tailgate.

The chassis settings have changed slightly, the interior trim materials have improved. The power of the 2.4-liter gasoline engine has increased to 176 hp.

Now in Ukraine both a pre-styling and an updated version of the crossover are offered. Upgraded KIA Sorento so far only comes with a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Its maximum power is reached at 3,800 rpm and is 197 hp. Peak engine torque depends on the selected transmission. Paired with a six-speed manual, it is 430 Nm, and paired with a six-speed automatic - 445 Nm, which are available in the range of 1,800-2,500 rpm.

The pre-styling version of the model is offered both with a diesel engine and with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine developing 174 hp. and 226 Nm of torque. Like a diesel engine, this power plant can be aggregated with both "mechanics" and automatic.

On the Ukrainian market, KIA Sorento is sold in three trim levels - in the five-seat Mid version and the seven-seat Top and Top + versions. Already in the basic Mid package includes ABS, ESP motion stabilization and rollover prevention systems, front, side and curtain airbags, dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, a multifunctional steering wheel with cruise control buttons and a CD/MP3 radio with 6 speakers and AUX and USB sockets.

In the top trim levels Top and Top +, in addition to an additional removable third row with two seats, the crossover features even richer equipment. In addition, an adjustable suspension, leather interior, heated rear seats and much more appear in the car.

KIA Sorento is a co-platform Hyundai Santa Fe. Ground clearance Sorento is 185 mm. Only all-wheel drive versions are supplied to Ukraine. Produced in South Korea.
