Kia Picanto - the third generation of the A-class hatchback was presented in March 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show. Model received a more youthful design, an increased wheelbase from 2385 mm to 2400 mm and a shortened front overhang. The exterior and interior of the third iteration Picanto were developed by Kia Motors design centers in Namyang (South Korea) and Frankfurt (Germany).

The body structure of the compact hatchback has increased the proportion of high-strength steel grades, thereby increasing torsional rigidity and reducing its weight. In addition, the third-generation Picanto has a boot volume of 255 liters - 55 liters more than the previous hatchback. With the backrests of the second row folded down, the volume of the compartment increases to 1,010 liters.

Inside, the new Kia Picanto looks a lot like Kia Rio fourth generation - hatchbacks have a unified steering wheel, climate control unit, a section with a socket and connectors for connecting gadgets, dashboard elements, etc. For the novelty, a multimedia complex stylized as a tablet with a 7-inch touch screen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications is available. Depending on the level of equipment, the Picanto can be equipped with a collision avoidance system, an emergency braking system, seven airbags, a rear-view camera and cruise control.

The engine range of the Kia Picanto III includes gasoline “atmospherics” with a volume of 1.0 l (67 hp, 96 N m) and 1.2 l (84 hp, 122 N m), as well as a 1.0-liter turbo engine (100 HP, 172 Nm). The engines are combined with a 5-speed "mechanics", but a 4-speed "automatic" is also available for the 1.2-liter.
