KIA Cerato Koup - looking at the first coupe in the history of KIA, you can’t say that the car is built on the basis of a sedan Cerato. The only common body part of the models is the hood. Therefore, the appearance of Cerato Koup turned out to be much more dynamic, impetuous, wedge-shaped. Not to a small extent, this merit belongs to elongated doors without window frames.

Technically, the two-door almost completely repeats the sedan. McPherson struts are installed at the front, a semi-dependent beam at the rear. The wheelbase is also identical - 2,650 mm. But especially for the coupe, the wheel track was increased. 65mm front and 79mm rear. In addition, the ground clearance was also reduced by 10 mm. The ground clearance of the KIA Cerato Koup is 140 mm.

The range of engines was also borrowed from the four-door version of the model. The choice of the buyer is available gasoline atmospheric four-cylinder units with a volume of 1.6 and 2 liters. The maximum power of the first is 126 hp, and the peak torque is 157 Nm. The two-liter engine develops 156 hp. and 194 Nm of torque.

Both motors can be paired with a manual or automatic transmission. After a recent upgrade by the company of power units, in both cases, the boxes learned to count six gears.

While many companies decided not to offer two-door modifications of their C-class models on the Ukrainian market, KIA Cerato Koup confidently occupied its niche, where both Honda Civic Coupe and Toyota tC could compete for leadership.

In all versions, KIA Cerato Koup is equipped with a CD / MP3 radio with 6 speakers and the ability to connect external devices via AUX and USB connectors, climate control. In the top configuration, in which the car is aggregated exclusively with a two-liter 156-horsepower engine, a leather interior appears in the cabin, and cruise control provides convenience on long trips.

Serial production of KIA Cerato Koup has been launched in South Korea.
